Sales conditions

  1. All services provided by HTC Colombus are subject to the general tank cleaning terms and conditions of CTC (Commission Tank Cleaning), the Belgian tank cleaners’ federation. These can be found on our website at and are published in the annexes to the Belgian Bulletin of Acts and Decrees.

  2. All prices quoted by HTC Colombus are net prices exclusive of VAT. All charges and taxes due on the goods and services to be provided are to be borne by the client. Bank and other charges as a result of, for example, exchange rate fluctuations, international transfers, etc. are to be borne by the client.

  3. Unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing, all HTC Colombus invoices are to be paid in cash at the headquarters of HTC Colombus.

  4. The client’s right to settle any claims it may have against HTC Colombus or suspend its obligation to pay is expressly excluded.

  5. In the event of non-payment or late payment on the due date, interest shall be charged as of right and without notice equal to 1% per month from the due date of the invoice, together with payment of all resultant costs, determined on a flat-rate basis of at least 10% per outstanding invoice amount with a minimum of EUR 25.00, without prejudice to the right to full compensation.

  6. Failure to pay an invoice on the due date shall result in all other invoices not yet due issued by HTC Colombus to the client becoming immediately due for payment.

  7. Complaints relating to invoices from HTC Colombus must be justified in detail and made by registered letter sent to HTC Colombus within 8 days of the invoice date. No complaints can be accepted after this deadline.

  8. Insofar as these general invoicing terms and conditions have also been drawn up in a language other than Dutch, the Dutch text shall always take precedence in the event of a difference between the texts.

  9. All agreements between the client and HTC Colombus and disputes arising therefrom shall be governed by Belgian law. Any disputes shall lie within the sole jurisdiction of the Belgian courts of the district of Antwerp. The Justice of the Peace of the Fourth Canton shall have sole jurisdiction to hear disputes that fall under the jurisdiction of the Justice of the Peace Courts.

  1. HTC, its employees and those assisting, are not liable for any damage caused in whatever way, unless the damage was done on purpose or the result of any similar circumstances. In any case, any liability is limited to the amount of the compensation due to the work carried out by HTC.

  2. All advice, actions and activities of HTC, its employees and those assisting is given and are carried out for the principal’s account, risk and responsibility.

  3. The principal is liable for all damage caused by any objects to be cleaned and the people involved, and any transport used during their presence on the sites of HTC, and he indemnifies HTC against any claims from third parties resulting therefrom.

  4. Any liability of HTC for the correct execution ot the activities carried out by HTC, ends with the delivery to the customer. A delivery as meant above is deemed to have happened if the cleaned object leaves the premises of HTC.

  5. The district court of Antwerp is solely competent to hear any disputes between HTC and the principal. Agreements concluded between HTC and the principal are subject to Belgian law.

  6. With HTC we mean all companies, persons, terrains and installations who works for the account of HTC in the tankcleaning-activities.
